Why should I become an active member?

The student union consists of its members, and as an active member your membership become more valuable. You get to meet a lot of new friends and shape Medicinska Föreningen to your and your fellow members' liking. Together we always try improve MF and have fun. Your activities are also valuable as qualifications when applying for exchange studies or jobs. As a new active member you're a sought-after person, because you come with new ideas and point of views. We would therefore recommend you to apply for of one of the free positions in MF.

THE INFORMATION COMMITTEE

The Information committee (InfU) plays a vital part in Medicinska Föreningen because we are responsible for keeping the members involved in what is going on and maintain the communication between the different parts of MF. In reality this means that we are responsible for the student union newspaper Medicor, the newsletter, and arranging social meetings for active members. Our open positions are:

Vice-chairman: As vice-chairman, you assist the chairman when needed. This can include tasks such as leading meetings or checking our mailbox.

Secretary: You will write the protocols for the meetings. A position for anyone who likes to write!

E-mail manager: You are responsible for regularly checking our e-mail inbox and answering the letters we receive, as well as deciding which e-mails are sent out to the students.

Layout manager: You will be responsible for the layouts of InfU's different forums, such as the website, "Amphioxbladet" etc.

We are always looking for other members, as well. Feel free to join us at a meeting to see how we work!

We are looking for you who like writing, photographing, translating, web design, lay outing or arranging social gatherings, etcetera. Are you interested in getting in touch with companies and employers, and arranging events such as recruitment fairs? If so, join the business committee which is currently planning for Futura Karolina 2012! THE ENTERTAINMENT COMMITTEE (http://medicinskaforeningen.se/index.php/en/entertainmentcommittee)

The entertainment committee (PrU) is responsible for Friday pubs and the parties at MF. We work on creating unforgettable evenings and events for MF's members and the public. No prerequisites, we teach all of our members our routines and send them on courses to learn about responsible alcohol handling. Take this chance to work with a gang that works closely and has a lot of fun together!

Marshal parent: As a marshal parent you are responsible for the recruitment of new members. You also work together with the internal minister on making sure all the committee's members have a good time together!

Restaurateur: As restaurateur you are responsible for coordinating the committee's work schedule. You are responsible for the committee's own floor and for ordering workwear when needed.

PrU is also always looking for happy new members. Don't hesitate to swing by a Friday pub and try some bartending!
